Phoenix lifted her head, to look at him. Her pale white fingers pulled the towel around her as she stood. The captive looked at the men and women that surrounded them. Having gathered to watch, they began to disband. The teenager's eyes filled with gratitude for Aram.
"You could have been rid of me for good," Phoenix said composing herself. She stood inches away from him, an expressionless look returning to her face. "No one would have cared if you'd gotten rid of me. Why'd you keep me Aram? Ye could be stuck with me fer a while now." A little pirate dialect slipped between her emotionless tone and her danish accent.
The captive stood there with her pirate captor, in the middle of a circle getting ever smaller by the minute. Phoenix was totally oblivious to what was around her. All she heard was the incoherent babbling of the inhabitants of Tortuga. He claims not to care. But I know they've been trying to sell me. Not that I'm complaining or anything. For the moment I am quite content on the ship. Phoenix thought. Until we reach Denmark again...

"I would keep you..," Aram said as he head gave a slight tilt to look into the odd expressionless fae of her's. "Because I could get kicked off the ship," the pirate said as if that was the stupidest question ever. I already am the weakest position, so the cap'n couldn't place me anywhere else but the plank, he thought sadly, knowing that he has been on a ship for many years.
"And the Cap'n would care. I'd be.. on the plank. Too much KP to count really.. but just keep moving!" Aram's mind 'came back' to the sittuation that the two of them were in. "And as much as I like the attention, these people here aren't the kind of attention I like..," Especially those thugs, Aram's thought finished his sentance as he marched ahead of Phoenix, wanting no more then to get back to the ship.

"I see," Phoenix smiled at his back. She followed him slowly, sad that he was only protecting her because he didn't want to get in trouble. "Not that I could expect better from the likes of you." The captive was intentionally trying to pick a fight. Perhaps to boost her spirits after the close encounter.
I'm not much use to anyone. Phoenix thought bitterly. I just take up space and food. But the breeze at night when everyone goes to sleep is so nice. But it's nothing like home. I miss Denmark o much, and someday I'll find my way back there. For now I go where the wind blows me.
Her wrist was still red from the rash and blood wrought by the iron clasp. The captive wanted to be free so badly. But she would have been no match for the thugs they'd encountered. Their braun and reflexs slightly surpassed her brain.

Aram felt like he was being smashed with a large rock at Phoenix's comment, seeing how he tried his best to be a gentleman and a pirate at the same time, but he knew that it had to be one or the other at times. I wanna hit someone right now..where's Nao? Aram thought, seeing how Nao already had plently of KP for a good smack.
The soft beat of his boots came to a stop as he gave a large sigh. "You think I'm no gentleman?! You really are a rude one, aren't ye?" Aram asked with a cocky attitude towards Phoenix. He didn't like being insulted, even though it was just what she thought about him. What the bloody hell is she trying to do? Start a fight? I just hope we can make it back to the ship where I can tie her up to the mass or something.
"What is it that ye'r trying to do? Brain wash me to let ye go?!"

"No," Phoenix said, still talking to his back. "I'm not trying to be ungrateful for you savng me from those guys. It was a bit of a smack in the face to find out you were doing it for yourself. I merely meant that you have no compassion towards me, and that I shouldn't have expected any." She bit her lip thinking of what she'd just accused him of.
Well, I guess it's only very little compassion. He did give me his towel. He could've easily made me walk without it. The captive thought. The teenager hated admitting she was wrong. There was no way she was going to do so with this pirate. Even if he had saved her from being stuck on Tortuga for good.

A bundle of laughter filled the air as Aram continued walking with the prisoner walking steadily behind him. "Haha, sorry.. I couldn't help myself," he chuckled at the girl's 'comment'. Pfft. Does the lassy have a passion? "Haha, what a laugh!" The 'sofistacated' lad could do nothing but fill the air around the two of them with laughter, but what he found funny was just about as fried as his head in the sun.
Continueing to walk, he heard many seagulls that were very close by and the sound of the water's tide coming in, crashing upon the sandy shore of Tortuga. "You sure are amusing!" The pirate's voice meeped as his rubbed the back of his hand to his watery eye. That was a good laugh! "Please pardon me for the sudden outburst, but I really couldn't help myself," Aram giggled at Phoenix.

Phoenix blushed, a sudden feeling ov naivety flooding over her. "It's rude to laugh at other people," the captive said walking ahead of him. The chain between them held little slack, the constant clinking was the only sound that remained. When the teenager heard even a murmur her head would snap around. Fire flashing in her angry red eyes.
I can't wait to get this clasp off. But it'll have to wait for Lekeb's return. No one else will becoming back for another hour or two. Phoenix thought sourly. She didn't want to be alone with Aram anymore. His lack of sympathy, and cruel humor were starting to get to her. Not to mention the smell of wine on his breath.

Aram just gave a casual smile as he knew that Phoenix would't turn to look, especially the way she walked ahead of him. "Heel," Aram noted as he wrapped more chain around his hand to keep less slack and avaliable distance that the captive was aloud to move. Phoenix was now right next o him at his heel, due to the tugging on the chain he had done. "...But that's why I apologized." Even though I didn't have to with the situattion that you are in.. but I guess it's just obligation.
Aram heard nothing more, but the ever continuing rattle from the clashing chains and the waves. The ship was in sight, and Aram felt like writing a few.. notes.

"I'm not your dog, Aram," Phoenix said refusing to look at him. "Stop treating me like one." The captive's dark eyes flashed like a knife. Her arm brushed against Aram's as she walked, but Phoenix jerked away. The teenager's body went tense, desperatly trying to keep others out of her bubble. The older boy looked so confident next to her.
When is he going to stop treating me like an animal? I'm a human, too. and at the moment this human would like nothing more than to be in her little corner. Away from Aram. She thought, gagging on the smell of rum that hung in the air all around them.

Am I that disguisting? Aram asked himself, seeing how Phoenix reacted to th brush of arms. No, lassy's probably just shy, a small chuckle arose again from his mouth.
"Hey~!" A voice that broke the small silence, making Aram stop and turn to find himself staring at a woman, about the same age as he. Her light brown hair was pulled up into a messy bun, and a pink towel was covering her hip.
Aram, a little shocked to be stopped by a beautiful young stranger, paused for a second. "Is there something wrong? You seemed a little.. troubled, Miss," his voice was in a worried tone as he stared at her. She must have been at the hotsprings.
"Ah..!" The girl blushed, as her expression turned a little shy. "Ah, well, I see you~ at the pool~, and... well.." Her voice became really quiet, making it hard to make out what she was saying. "I-I'm Claudia!" She perked up, looking as if she never had an ounce of shyness in her and her best friend was sugar.
"Ah, I see, well, call me Xoths," Aram introduced himself, using his middle name as his 'disguising alias'. He sogtly picked up her hand and gave it a small peck of his lips. "Nice to mee-"
The girl was touched by the way he greated her, she pulled his face towards her's, giving him a kiss. Xoths' eyes widened by the sudden event, but they slowly came to a close as he accepted the kiss. When he pulled his face away from the girl, he wasn't sure what to do next.

Phoenix rolled her eyes at the girl. She was obviously annoyed at how coy Claudia was acting. The captive just wanted the day to end, and to get off this wretched island with these wretched people. Phoenix was jerked forward along with Aram. The teen sighed as she stood next to the kissing pair.
After the Aram pulled away, she looked at him expectantly. "Xoths," Phoenix said vehmently. "We have to be getting back. It's freezing out here after the warm water of the springs." The captive was lying of course. She was quite content with the temperature. There was hardly any breeze to make her cold.

"Ah.. yes, I assume you are corect," Aram said as he gave a bow to the lady that stood before him. "I apologize, but my heart belongs to the sea, Claudia." 'Xoths'' voice seemed sorry, but in a way he wasn't. It was the truth, but also, he barely knew her.
"But you musn't! We KISSED!" The girl exclaimed as she took a hold of the pirate's arm. She's a bit.. naive... Aram thought as he pulled his arm away with a face showing rudeness, but he was serious.
"Please, go away," Aram said just before turning around and began walkign back to the ship. His sudden change in attitude just emerged, wanting nothing more but to show her kindness, bt she pushed it. She's a push over.. but very cute I must admit. Though I cannot return her love. No. Cause, I'm already in love.

Phoenix tried to pull ahead, but her arm only stuck out behind her as she walked. The captive's vack was tense, and she clenched her fist angrily. The detour with Claudia had been unexpected, and unappreciated. What a boring girl. She thought. Who cares about someone that shows her emotions so weakly? Doesn't she realize that Aram needs someone more intersting?
"Why should I care?" Phoenix muttered. "Let him stay if he wants. As long as he returns me to the ship. I don't care what he does..." Do I? A knot roase in her throat, and she massaged it. Her feet were cutting on the sharp rocks of the street. The sixteen-year-old grimaced in pain as dirt got into her open wounds.

Aram and Phoenix made it to the Black Bolt's deck. Relief came to him after the event, but his disturbed face was still worn. He began tying Phoenix back to the ship's main mass, where she was once before. This is where they placed all of their captives.. but at this time, they only had one 'guest'. Phoenix.
No word was spoken from Aram, he just the sound of the chains once again were heard. The tide.. is coming in.. he randomly noted in his mind as his now expressionless face was worn. He began walking to the edge of the ship, out to where he could see the girl walking away, Claudia that is. "I apologize, but my heart belongs to the sea, Claudia."
I'm no gentleman.. Aram thought as he looked out to the sky, which was clear at the time.

"You don't have to chain me," Phoenix spat. "I'm not going anywhere. This boats the safest place on this scumy island." She slid down her back against the mast. The captive picked up her sword, watching the hilt glitter in the seeting sun. Her eyes didn't reach Aram. She stared in the other direction out toward the sea.
The sixteen-year-old walked as far as the chain would let her. Still holding the sheathed sword in her pale hands. The sea looked unwelcoming and bitter. Phoenix returned the sword to her spot, but as she walked she stopped. A window caught her reflection, and the captive saw the black tatoos coiling around her shoulder blades.
Phoenix sighed and rubbed her shoulder. It was a painful memory, when the designs had been burned into her back. She'd felt like cattle being branded, and that was how she was treated.
