Slipping out of the hot spring, Aram's head was now over the water in Phoenix's private hotspring. His eyes were cleary visable through the steam now, and they seemed so sly like a snake's. "You," the pirate said, leaving it at that. He stared straight at her head, as just about everything about her seemed so visable, even through the light blanket of mist in the night. Though, night was the perfect time for the hotsprings.
Aram's pose seemed flirtational in a way, with his arms hanging over, his fingers just in reach of the water. His body was streatched out on the tile covered ground--which was cold in the center between the two springs, and his feet dipped in the spring of his own. All play and no harm.. but ye would be the captive of the Black Bolt.
((I guess I'll leave it at that?))

Aram's stare made her shake with fear. Even though she heldher head high, she was obviously frightened. Phoenix couldn't control, the pirate had away of bringing out her fear. She watched him cautiously, leaning over her own pool. Why was he getting so close? He was the cruelest to her, and yet he would touch her.
Suddenly the iron clasp became unbearably hot. The captive screamed in pain and lunged for the wine. Phoenix dumped the cool contents of the glass on her aching wrist. It stung as the red liquid seeped into her cuts. The sixteen-year-old was right infront of him, inches away. "I'm your stress relief?" Phoenix began. "Or is it something else?"

A small laugh escaped Aram's mouth as he got up to retrieve his towel, placing it around his neck and pulling it over his head like a hood. "No brains.. better add that to the book.. Oh, and by the way, you already have fifteen-hundred KP," Aram informed Phoenix, just before strolling over to the tree that she was linked up to.
"C'mon mut," he said as his hands began tugging at the chain linked to her arms. "Time to go back." How.. amusing.. but it's quite cruel non-the-less.. she's still human from all I'm concered. The pulling wasn't very easy on the girl, but he didn't seem to care. He was just being a pirate.

Phoenix gripped the chain and walked toward Aram. "I need to change," she said simply. The captive pulled a towel down from the tree and wrapped it around her slender body. She watched him, holding it tightly against her chest. I'm no dog. Quit treating me like one, you jerk. You can't play games with me. She thought angrly. The sixteen-year-old looked up at the pirate with peircing red eyes.
Phoenix picked up her dress and slung it over her arm. She tugged lightly on the chain, the metal digging into her wrist. "What's a KP?"

You don't have to change.. but I would like to change, it's not like I'm blind.. though I might be after seeing you like this..
Aram's thoughts kept trailing on until the topic of KP came up. "What's a KP?" This question refreshed his memory as he turned towards the captive. His hand loosened the grip on the chain as he gave another small grin to Phoenix. "KP.. it stands for something.. I'll tell you later when the numbers add up," Aram said, barely informing the girl with his own topic. Gripping on the chain again, he gave it another tug and began pulling Phoenix along with him back to the ship. Fifteen-hundred KP, right? Not the worst I've seen for the first day recieving KP. Not like anyone will be K'd.
"Oh, but it's not a.. it's many more than those on a ship."

Phoenix jerked forward, walking behind him. She sighed, glaring at him from behind. The captive didn't want anyone else to see her walking around in only a towel and bikini. "Guess I'll have to find a place to change on the ship," the sixteen-year-old muttered. I have more KPs than anyone on the ship? That settles it, Kps are bad. Now I just have to figure out how to keep from geting them. Phoenix thought. Eh... Who cares? He can just deal with me the way I am.
Tha captive stopped walking, deep in thought. She stared off in a daze, her red eyes onfocused. The cold wind blew around her, whipping her hair out behind her.

Feeling a slack in the chain, Aram looked back with his soft brown eyes to find Phoenix's hair being blown by the wind. She seemed like she was hypnotized, standing there KP? All she's done if recieve more than anyone else was 'able' to in one day.. the numbers aren't added up yet.[/i]
"What happened?" Aram asked, seeing how she wouldn't budge. "Did something spook ye?" His voice seemed like he didn't care about her one bit, but all of his attitude was different around the captives. In a way he felt obligated to treat them this way. Naturally obligted. His arm slightly raised the chain so it was leveled with his waist, seconds before he gave another tug on the chain. "C'mon, the sooner we get back to the ship the sooner I can get rid of ye."

Phoenix looked at him coldly, unready to move on. Although her arm jerked upward with his pull. She slung the dress over the taught chain, holding her towel tighter around her body. The captive flushed as men looked at her like hungry animals. Phoenix wouldn't let Aram see her scared. No, she was stronger than to let anyone see her pain.
Shoulders back, head high. There's nothing to worry about. Aram won't let anyone hurt me, I hope. The captive thought. She stared straight ahead, still feeling the burn of malicious eyes on her. Phoenix swallowed hard, grasping the towel so tightly her knuckles turned white.

Now becoming bored by the prisoner's sudden stiffness, Aram yanked the chained as he pressed forward, making his way back to the ship. We're going back whether ye like it or not. Don't ye dare making me carry you. I'll drag you.. maybe, Aram's thoughts were ment to be tough, but even though he was a pirate he had a tougher time than his dad treating other people like the ladies, such as Phoneix, like a pirate. Usually, they were more of the gentlemen kind.
"Start moving!" He demanded with a voice of struggle. Please?

Phoenix took long strides, trying to make it look like she was in a hurry. Although she would have given almost anything to go back and sit in the spring. Her breathing was shallow as the captive dodged around people. She didn't even want to brush shoulders with them. Phoenix walked the chains length behind Aram.
"She's a purt one ain't she?" one man called to another as he grabbed the captive's arm. She quivered with anger and nerves.
"That she is," his companion replied approaching them. "Let's take her with us. How much ye selling her for lad?" Both men looked at the pirate with devilish smiles.
Phoenix's eyes widened and she ripped away. Running to Aram she grabbed his shirt, burrying her face in it. "Don't let them take me," the captive choked into his back. "Please. Don't let them touch me."

Aram felt the tug and heard the small, soft whispers of the captive, Phoenix. "Please. Don't let them touch me."
Even though he was a pirate, he would have bowed to the men, but they were merely slobs that were also like him, a pirate. "More than you're worth," Aram told them in a strict voice as he turned around and pushed Phoenix forward, making sure her head was turned straight. How rude.. thilthy drunks most likely. He knew that they weren't finished, especially after the insulting remark that he said, followed by giving them a cold shoulder.
Why was she my job? Oh, because 'I'm the weakest link'. Even after ten years of being a pirate. Aram didn't want to say anymore, but press forward. As much as he disliked this captive, he knew there could have been worse.. like that idiot Nao. Just leave me alone.. and don't get on my nerves..

Phoenix stumbled forward and, after a glance at Aram, walked on. She bit her lip to keep from crying out. It wasn't helping much, he men were so dirty and insolent. More than their worth? The captive thought. He was probably just trying to get them to go away. It doesn't mean anything. I'm his temporary responsibility.
"More than we're worth?" The first man asked. "Just give 'er to us son. No one will get hurt. And you'll get a tidy sum. She can't be that important to yer." The men walked on either side of him, grinning their yellowed teeth.
"Unless she's yer girl," the other said. "Which begs the question: Why do you have her on a chain? Unless ye keep her to quell your desires." Th man raised his greasy eyebrows. His smile twisted under a black mustache.
The captive faltered a moment at the comment. What the heck? Like I'd do anything a pirate says. I'm a free spirit, well for the most part. The sixteen-year-old thought. Phoenix wanted to be rid of them. To be back on the boat where no one would hurt her, too badly.
((Sorry about the suggestiveness of this. It just seemed so good. I couldn't not say it.))

Aram's hand reached down towards his waist, which quickly brought a shock to his face. Crap! No sword.. Aram flinched as he looked at the two buffer men. And the only thing she is to me is my responsibility! The mind of his reeled as he began getting fed up with the crap they were asuming.
Why me? Aram thought as he whipped around, grabbing a hold of the chain which was attached to Phoenix. This may hurt, he had noted, keeping it to himself without informing the girl that was nothing more than a captive to him. His hands took hold of both of her hands, as he used the chain in a style of a whip, whacking one man across the waist and grabbing a sword from another. What a crappy sword! He shouted in his head as he held the sword out with both hands, ready to get either of the men that wanted to continue with their unwanted presence.
"Care to dance?" Aram asked as his eyes were similar to a gleaming snake's sight as he attempted to warn off the pirates before any real fighting had to be done.

The men snickered, but backed away slowly. Their hands were up, but theylooked at eachother slyly. "No need to get ruff, lad," the pirates began to walk away. Taking a route that led them past the captive. We was just trying to have a little fun wit' 'er."
"Even ye can understand that," the other growled. The men stopped and stood infront of Phoenix. One grabbed her towel and wrenched it from her hands. The pirates laughed and walked off, not pausing to drop the towel.
Phoenix's wide red eyes followed them for a moment in shock. Although, as a cool wind blew about her, she looked down at her body. The sixteen-year-old shrieked and crumbled tothe ground. She hugged her knees and bent down her head in a fetal position.

"Heh.. at least they're gone," he grunted, just before glancing down at the captive. "Think of it this way, swords are worth more than towels," Aram smiled as he placed his towel around her, as his act to get her back on her feet. "Though they were quite rude.. all talk and no game. Aye, they'd be boring," Aram said as he gave a thumbs down as he attempted to brighten the girl's spirit a little.
The sword remaind in one hand as his dominant one gave another tug on Phoenix's chain, "C'mon, better get you back before I get in trouble."
((It's ok, I probably would have done the same))
