Seeing as Debbie shared this area of the Black Bolt with many guys it was obvious that she was slightly weary – but the young lass did not fret for one like her couldn’t do so when excited to see her best friend after so many years. Debbie grabbed her brush from under her sleeping area and started to undo the knots today’s work had given her.
“Well its much easier tae keep ma locks like this than eet was when they were longer.” She muttered to herself knowing that some were most probably listening in on her. Debbie was expected Kairi around eleven, which was good for that was near enough now. She would wait for her but not be surprised if she were to be slightly late. “Daddy would most definitely be angry if he were to find me here.”

Kairi walked to the crew's quarters, and knocked twice on the door before entering. The men didn't dare mess with her, for they knew if they did, they would have Lekeb to answer to. "Ah, Debbie. Sorry if I'm late." She smiled, her Irish accent matching her startling Irish green eyes. Her hair was half up half down, and she wore her traditional pirates clothes. (see pic in my sig for image). She watched and waited for the girl to answer

“Nah, yer just in time.” Debbie smiled as she looked her best friend up and down. She looked good in those clothes. Yet Kairi always looked good in anything. Well at least better than Debbie ever did. Placing her brush down, Debbie placed her hand on a sketchbook. “Remember this?” She asked, she always used to draw in it.

Debbie smiled softly and nodded her head as she opened the sketchbook to mid-way into it. There on the once blank piece of paper was a sketch of Kairi. She was very careful when she drew it. Her smile widened as she proudly shown it.
“Ah think it’s ah good likeness.”

"Aww, I'm sorry lass...How be yer fam'leh anyhow?" The eighteen year old asked, then looked up at the crew. "OI!! Ye lo' get yer asses out onto the decks and start workin'!" She glowered at the crew, which automatically jumped up and ran out to the decks, doing as they were supposed to. "Hones'leh...Ye'd thin' they were stupid er sommat!" she said, looking over at Debbie

“Daddy’s just like he usually is. He’s much stricter aboot everything.” The young woman spoke as she placed her knees up close to her chest. “Momma isn’t any different. Ah suppose the only thing that changed is… meself.” She smiled softly. Well not only in appearance; as her long strands of hair were much shorter. But in personality too… she wasn’t using her proper English or using her big vocabulary like she usually would.

Kairi smiled. "I always loved yer mother. Such a fine lady she is. Yer pa's no' tha' bad an all. Though 'e was a bi' strict wiv ye and yer brother tha' nigh' we wen' ou'." She said softly, smiling over at her. "Ye look good fer bein' a pirate, lass. Lo' be'er than I do!" she laughed softly

“Dinnae be daft. Ah always thought ye were the bonnier lass.” A giggle passed the Scottish lass’s lips. That was right though, Kairi always did like Debbie’s mother. Debbie looked around. “Ye know, there ar’ ah lot o’ things to sketch here.” She smiled softly. “Ah’d like tae gi’ it a shot one day.”

"I'm open for drawing, and so is the ship." the Irish lass said, her laugh bubbly and happy. Her eyes smiled when she did, and she brushed a few strands of her red-blonde hair from them. Her rings and bracelets clinked together, and her father's medallion, along with a promise necklace from Lekeb, hung 'round the lass's neck.

Smiling softly as she looked around she then had an idea and clicked her fingers. “Ah have an idea – Ah should sketch ye and yer captain!” She laughed. “As a present!” She smiled softly as she had set it out in her mind already. “It would be a braw picture.”

"Aye, that'd be nice!" The irish lass proclaimed happily. "I'll run i' by 'er, though if I wan' ta do i', she won' 'ave any problems with it." She laughed softly.

Smiling softly she nodded as she looked up towards Kairi. “It would be grant ta have drawn something more braw than the one ah drew of William.” She opened the sketchbook to near the front – a teenage picture of William Turner, very well drawn. “Ah bet ye two will be better.” She laughed as she looked at the picture then the one on the page after it of Kairi and Lip. "Ye remember the time ye two posed fer this?"
