Phoenix sat on her bed, waiting for Aram. When she heard the knock she slunk to the door and took a cup from his hand. "Thanks," the captive muttered. "But I could have gotten it myself. Don't ye still have to fix up the room?" She turned on her heel and returned to her seat. I shoul've taken his notebook while he was gone. I could have finally made sense of him. Too late now...
Phoenix pulled a ribbon from the drawer in the nightstand. She tied it in her hair, keeping strays out of her face. The sixteen-year-old put a hand to her forehead, feeling the warmer than normal temperature. "When do we head back?"

"Aye, I do," the Pirate said, leaving it simple. Aram looked up to the ceiling, after being asked the question "When do we head back?", as if looking for an answer to appear. "Nn.. perhaps a couple hours from now, perhaps three at the most, unless Cap'n chooses not to take the chance and sail through the storm," He responded, looking back at the captive, finding her hair pulled back.
Walking over to the nightstand where his journal was, he stared at it, with a slightly puzzled look on his face, taking a sip of his tea. To think lassy would have gone through it.. maybe it didn't even come to her mind, he thought to himself, just before placing his porcline cup of english tea next to the worn out journal. "Anything in yer mind that'd keep yourself in good health?" He asked, not having a lot of experiance with medicines and cures, even though he didn't have the most reliable amune system.
He glanced at Phoenix as he began pushing the bed back into place, awaiting for an answer from the sick captive.

Phoenix sipped the tea thoughtfully. "Nothing, I just need to stay warm. But this blanket isn't very good for that," she replied. Her body shivering, stomach clenched with nerves. "I didn't read it." The captive noted his gaze at the journal. "I promise." There was a clash of thunder and the captive jerked, spilling piping hot tea on her hand.
Phoenix set the cup down, her hand flying to her face as she blew on it. Desperatly trying to cool the seering pain. She waved it frantically, knowing it would blister. The pain slowly died and the teenager rubbed her hand tenderly. Half of her tea had spilled out, but there was still enough to drink. She didn't pick up the cup yet, just stared at Aram, watching him when he couldn't see her stares.

"There, the bed is back where it belongs," Aram noted quietly as he turned to see Phoenix were she was last time he glanced. "I believe ye," he told her, really believing in what she promised. Is she done with her tea already? He asked himself, glancing into her cup, seeing that there was still a good amount of tea left. He glanced back at Phoenix, noticing her hand in the other. "Hurt?" He asked, shaking his head, realizing all of the 'bad karma' that the captive was receiving.
Coul it be because the Cap'n is mad and doesn't want me to treat a human like a human? Oh well, she can't find out.. well, she cn, but she won't, Aram laughed in his head.

"I spilled," Phoenix grimaced. "No big deal." It was another lie, but she didn't want him to think she couldn't handle herself. Every time she lied to him it tore her up inside. The captive looked at him thoughtfully. Standing and walking slowly toward the pirate, Phoenix shivered without her blanket. It was only a few steps, yet her legs were wobbly.
The blonde crossed her arms against her chest, standing inches from her captor. She couldn't stand not knowing anymore. It was impossible to read him, even if he would just make a sarcastic comment. The captive needed some sort of answer.
"What do you think of me Aram?" Phoenix asked. Her soulful yet harsh eyes looking deep into his. "What do you really think of me? Am I just a joke? Someone for you to mess around with? I need to know."

Aram's head rose and one of his eyebrows tweaked. Was this some kind of joke? What was going over this girl? The Pirate gave a small laugh, wiping away his slightly confused look on his face. "Why? has something about me infituated you?" He asked, this time his eyebrow raised higher as he wore a grin, leaning in towards Phoenix. His hand took form like a gun, placing the angle between his thumb and index up to his chin.
Aram laughed again after a couple seconds, removing his hand and laughed. He gave Phoenix a soft pat on the head and chuckled, pulling her in under his arm. "Ye should know that if ye keep treating ye like this, the whole ship will be ill," Aram informed her as if she was stupid.
Oh, how amusing she is, he thought, continuing to laugh like a mock. "So why doesn't ye get into bed and stay warm?" he asked, slightly pushing her towards the bed. Though.. she's practically wasting my saved money... but it's not like I'll ever use it.. right?
Removing his arm, Aram gave her a softer push on her back, and as if she were a wall, he fell backwards onto his bed, landing on his back. "Breakfast... need to get that... but what's good for someone who is sick?" He asked aloud, not expecting an answer.

The captive glared at the pirate over her shoulder. She slowly climbed into bed wondering how to answer back to his comment. "You treat me this way," Phoenix spat. "For one of two reasons: You're afraid of how you feel about me. Or you're afraid of how I feel about you." Her eyebrow raised over a questioning gaze. Lightly coughing, she covered her mouth. When she removed her hand a knowing smile was revealed. Goose-bumps pricked her skin, wondering if maybe she was wrong about him. Maybe Phoenix really meant nothing to anyone right now. The lass was dead to her parents, captive to pirates, and a toy to any man that wanted to play with her.
"Is that about right?" Her tone was so matter-of-fact that if it had been someone else, the captive would have smacked them. It's the same for me. Damn. I hate the truth about myself. And I hate trying to shove myself into this already doomed relationship. Phoenix pulled the blanket around her and lay on her side, facing away from Aram. She sighed deeply with annoyance at the world. "Nevermind. Just forget I said anything." It's better if he doesn't tell me. I don't need him to say flat out that I'm noting, but a person. A captive on the Black Bolt. Nothing wil ever change that. And there is no way anything can happen between a pirate and meself.

"Ok, fine," Aram finally spoke after the confusion in Phoenix's wants and don't wants. Something biting at you? Or are you just imobolized by love? Haha, you amuse me Phoenix, the pirate kept to himself as he sat up from the bed and stared at the captive. "What kind of food do ye like?" He asked, in a real plain voice, but with a curious look on his face. Food.. so many things to try out in this world, but so little time.. He thought, wishing he was a king, even though he did feel like one at times.
Pulling his leg up onto the bed, he bent his knee, resting the side ofhis head on it. I know there's a bakery down the road... but they only have bread.. what else is around here?

"I'm not hungry," Phoenix mumbled. "Starve a cold, feed a fever. No food for me." She burrowed deeper into her bed. The captive didn't like being yelled at. Or the fact that her question went unanswered. She sat up suddenly, blood rushing from her head. The captive swooned a bit. Then leaned over, turning her head to lay her piercing and accusing gaze on Aram.
"Think about what I said before. If you won't answer it for me at least admit it to yerself," She pursed her lips into a thin line. Knitting her brows together thoughtfully. Will that show him the light? I doubt it. He's so dense, that pirate will never understand if he can't admit his feelings to himself. The captive sighed, shaking her head at the pirate. To her he seemed stuck some place between boy and man.

...isn't it obvious? Aram asked himself, running his fingers through his hair. "But, like I said before," he began, noticing the slightly angered emotion on her face. "You're cute when you're angry," Aram said with a straight, serious face. Does she hate me? All I was doing was offering her something to eat... Maybe I should just feed her her tea. Make her shutup.
"But do you want me to feed you you're tea and be your slave for a while?" He asked, wondering how she would feel with the switch... even though it may seem like she already is the slave owner at times. I'm just being myself![/i] Aram said proudly, talking to himself. He gave a small sigh and lifted his head from his knee, still staring at Phoenix.

Phoenix's head shot up at the suggestion. She looked at him curiously. Wondering to what extent he would be feeding her. "I don't need a slave," the captive spat. "It's a luxury I can't afford to taste. Don't tempt me." The teenager looked at him slyly from the corner of her eye. Curving the corner of her mouth into a smirk.
"Cute you say? Well that scores a few points for you," Phoenix was being sarcastic. But her flirtatious side had taken over. "You can feed me if you must, afterwards get back to work." Both comments were meant to drip with sarcasm, but they came out wrong. And her heart said it was too late to take them back. The lass' mouth was locked and she couldn't say anymore.

"Ok," Aram said, quickly getting up from his bed, perhaps less than a full second fromthe time Phoenix finished talking. He leaned over Phoenix's bed, staring down at her. "Ye serious?" He asked, his gentlemen self asked. Is lass on drugs? No.. she hasn't had the time to get them.. maybe she is love struck by my appealing appearince, Aram thought, getting a little full of himself.
His hand crawled over to the cup that rested next to his own cup on the nightstand, picking up the fragile glass that held the rest of Phoenix's remaining tea. Another thought struck his mind, as he smiled, hiding his true grin for the captive. I am surprise she is still being a captive.. but.. I already am finished with my work! I am so magnificient, getting my work done first thing in the morning! He praised himself proudly as he picked up her tea cup, awaiting to see if she had anything more to say. His nose was softly tickled by the inviting scent of tea that awaited to be dranked.

"Of course I'm serious," Phoenix replied. She cocked her head, misunderstanding what he meant. I don't need a slave anymore than anyone else. Slavery is wrong. The captive thought. Her red eyes full of innocence as she stared up at him, leaning over her.
The mistake she'd made could rove to make one of two emotional swings for the captive. Phoenix could become passionate and kind, or rude and hateful. It was all in the coin toss. Her heart raced from the silence of the moment.

Aram brought the tea cup up to his chest as he took a seat on the edge of the captive's bed. "If you insist," he said. And with that, he took a swig of the tea, slowly intruding Phoenix's personal space bubble and gave her a kiss. It was an opened mouth one, as he was feeding her by mouth, the warm liquid escaped his lips, intruding into her's. He pulled his head away and casually smiled. Never thought she'd let me do anything fun, He seemed to pout in his head, yet sounding a little joyful as he stared into her eyes of red.
"Was that saticfying?" he asked her, in a semi-suductive way, just waiting to see what her finishing facial expression was. I wonder if she has heard the term... .Feeding by mouth'. It's commen where I come from, the land that Cap'n so hates. He thought, wondering if there'd be seconds.
((He's weird, but that's him))

Phoenix leaned back as he kissed her open-mouthed. The tea slid down her throat in her suprise. She sat stunned when he pulled away, unsure of what to say. Her lips couldn't form words, all the captive could do was stare back at him. Her wide eyes staring back. Phoenix leaned forward, smiling knowingly.
"If that was your way of confessing to me, then let's do it again," she replied matching his tone. Leaning forward Phoenix whispered. "I dare you," she pulled away speaking normally. "Unless it wasn't, in which case you're a dead man. But tell the truth anyway. I may spare you." The captive moved in again. Her face inches from his. Free for the taking.
