"That wasn't funny," Aram growled, taking the rude remark of Phoenix's. He picked up his journal again, crossing out four-thousand, and replaced it with four-thousand, seven-hundred, fifty. Meh, a lass! NO, A LAD! L-A-D, LAD! The pirate shouted in his head. 'I'm jut a flat chested pirate!' How stupid.. he seemed to scowl himself.
"Ye. You're sleeping on the desk. Want me to tie ye to it?" He asked, wondering if she had any questions. He hated it very much, being called a lass or a lady, or even being reffered as one. Especially by someone of weaker rank than him, Phoenix. The lowest rank you can be, a captive. She's not cute!! He seemed to burn the whole image that once remained in his head.
"No, I take it back. That might make you happy. You're putting the beds together," he scolded at the bolnde haired girl.

"I'm sorry," Phoenix said sincerely. She stood up walking toward him. Looking as though she'd been offended as well. "I didn't mean it like that. I would have said that to anyone. I swear." Her hand touched his arm tentatively, but she pulled away. There is no way I'm putting the beds any closer. They were already too close for comfort. And there was a night stand between them!
"No way in hell," the lass spat. "They're close enough as it is. Any closer and I'd have to kill you in yer sleep." Phoenix smiled with fake sweetness. Flipping blonde hair behind her shoulder. The captive sat back down, looking up triumphantly at the pirate. She cursed him in german, her accent almost too thick to understand.

"You really are stubborn," Aram muttered under his breath, making it so that she couldn't hear him clearly enough, but enough to point out that he was talking about her. 'I would have tol.d that to anyone', the sandy eyes of Aram's rolled as he mimicked Phoenix. 'I'm sorry! ...lassy, you are such a-! Ugh! His voice seemed to pout in his mind.
"Have fun catching a cold!" He 'praised' the girl, as he fell onto his 'new' bed, which was originally hers. His back was faced upward as he practically face planted into the plush comforter.

Phoenix sneezed as if because of the comment. She sniffled still looking at him, narrow eyes unable to read him. The captive lay down on her bed staring at the ceiling. She grasped the blankets pulling them around her. The lass' breathing grew short and ragged as she shivered. Not wanting to whine she fell into restless sleep.
Phoenix thrashed in the bed. Kicking and twisting the covers around her body. "NO," the captive screamed. "Stop it. Leave me alone! I don't want to!" Her dream-self ran around deserted streets, hitting hundreds of dead ends. Being chased by the filthy men from Tortuga, only now they were completely drunk. "Someone help me!" Suddenly the captive felt strong arms wrap around her waist, a body pressing into her back.

Aram was practically asleep, until the yelling, screaming, and struggling sounds of the captive, Phoenix were heard. His body shot up from his bed, looking over at the girl, wide-eyed, but to his surprise, there wasn't anyone there, but the girl. What the...? Aram thought as he crawled over, into the girl's bed, brushing the hair out from her face. I shouldn't wake her.. that'd be chaos again, the pirate noted to himself as he began whispering, "There, there.. no one's going to hurt you."
If lassy keeps it up, maybe I should just wake up 'Sleeping Beauty'... hopefully she doesn't kick me though, he laughed in his head as he tried calming down the girl without waking her up. It may have been wise to wake her up, but knowing her, she'd be startled to find Aram right there on his knees at the side of the bed, stroking her hair.
Don't hurt the face... please.

In the darkness of her mind, Phoenix felt something hard hit her chest. She jolted awake with a gasp staring up at the pirate. The captive reached out her hand, grasping his shoulder. He is real. It was just a nightmare. The teenager smiled. She didn't recoil at Aram's touch, just held his arm as if he'd leave her. Disappearing into the darkness of the night.
"I'm sorry," Phoenix mrumured. "I'm okay now. Was I terribly noisy?" As if waking up had changed her some how, the captive seemed less venomous and more innocent. Thank you, Aram. I was so scared. And even in my dream you helped me... She blinked up at him, the calm wouldn't last. If she stayed awake long enough she be back to the vicious snake she always was.

The grip that Phoenix held on his arm was tight, but she never ever did want to or feel the need to hold on to him until now. "What happened to you?" Aram asked, noticing the change of personality. He opened his mouth again after a short pause, having more to ask, "Are you sure you're ok, lass?" Does she have a split personality? If so, this one won't last a day out at sea. Buuut.. Aram smiled, showing her a face that said: Trouble. Lowering his face onto the bed he stroked the girl's hair again, still feeling her grip on his arm.
The emotion in his face became soft, yet serious, "Does Prince Charming get a kiss goodnight?" He asked politly, still having that turned down feeling, and reffering himself as: 'Prince Charming'. I know she'd say no, but it's do amusing to annoy her. He thought, his eyes closed with a smile.

"I was scared," Phoenix replied. "I didn't need any help at all. I just wanted to be sure I was awake." Obviously back to normal, the captive swatted away Aram's hand. Her hand slipping off his shoulder. She lifted her head, placing her hands beneath it. They were so close she could feel his breath on her face.
"I guess that would depend on who prince charming is," Phoenix said, face expressionless. "If it's you then there's no way, unless ye forced me. Like last time." Her stomach clenched with the lie. Of course I want to. She told herself. I just can't let him hurt me when it all turns out to be a joke. I have to stay strong. She swallowed hard, unsure of what would happen.
Would he actually force her like she'd said? There was no way of knowing for, Phoenix couldn't read him easily. The engulfing darkness didn't do much to help her understand his intentions. All she knew was that it wouldn't be good for her resistance. Her bright eyes twinkled in the dark, not wanting to hide her feelings, but she'd already invented a rather disagreeable person. There was no way she could go back on that. Strength was the mask for her insecurities, and other emotions she considered made her 'weak' among the pirates.

"Glad to see you're back to normal," Aram said with a smile after Phoenix made her 'I wasn't scare' comment. "But I didn't force ye to kiss me. I just stole a kiss.. which you continued." The expression on his face seemed plain, expressionless. His head was no longer covered by the bandanna, drenched in wine and blood, though the blood that once emergered from his hed no longer did.
A soft sigh emerged from Aram's mouth, softly into Phoenix's warm comferter. "Well," he began as he lifted his head from the plush bed. A small pause was held, one tht didn't need to be that long, "Guess I'll see ye in the mornin' then.." The thin body, almost too feminnin to be male, arose from the side of Phoenix's bed. "That'll be in a couple of hours. The cap'n will probably be gettin herself some goods before we leave, but, 'till then we should sleep," said Aram, looking towards the new location of the nightstand. Well... 'guess I get to wae up early as usual to tidy up the place.
Aram shifted his body, turning back towards his bed to catch the rest of his sleep that he could. After all, a storm means 'All hands on deck!'.

Phoenix blushed knowing he was right. That night she'd kissed him back, and she didn't regret a minute of it. "I wasn't in my right mind," came the blonde's stubborn reply. "It was late, and I was tired." The long pause between them had startled her, the captive sat up, leaning back on her hands, unsure of what else to say.
Phoenix felt at ease, watching the pirate. She didn't want to get up early and the silence between them was murder. More than anything at that moment she wanted to kiss him. Although, she restrained herself, not showing her desire. I am tired. Maybe tomorrow. No.. never again. That kiss was a one time thing. I have to convince myself that he means nothing to me.

The long golden hair of Aram's spread on the bed, making him look like a model as he fell into a comfertable position on the bed. He looked up at the ceiling, which wasn't very visable with the lighting that they had at the time. His hand reached out, pulling the comferter up to his waist, resting upon the edge of it while the other was sandwiched between his had and his pillow. "Good night, Princess," Aram whispered, knowing that she was far from that with the situation she was in already.
He closed his eyes, running through a short list of 'To do things' when he got up later in the morning. Put the bed and the night stand back where they belong, do something about the wine bottle, make sure that the room is clean.., Aram paused, thinking if there was more to do. ..and find something for us to eat before the ship sets sail... that's about it.. Aram's mind began to quiet, even though the storm kept up with the occassional light at the window and the large cracking sound.

"Prince Charming and Princess," Phoenix laughed. Her eyes bright even with the small amount of light. She turned to Aram, resting her head on her shoulder. "Who are these wekk-off people you are referring too?" He called me a Princess. Her heart. screamed joyfully. But her mind came back with a stubborn retort. Stop kidding yourself, no one cares about a captive. He's just using you for his own twisted enjoyment.
The captive pursed her lips into a line. Not knowing whether to listen to her heart or mind. There was no way of balancing the two out. It was one way or the other. That first kiss had made her realize how much she really cared about him. "I'm not ready to end it this way. I can't sit on that ship away from him again," she muttered to quietly for the pirate to decifer.

A smile sprawled onto Aram's face, yet he didn't know exactly how to reply to the last responce of Phoenix's, other than: "Is she talking in her sleep again?" He joked, not doing anything more about it. If she is talking about me, it's just her utterly confused self, most likely. Though, I am that amazing, he laughed inside his head at his own comment, allowing sleep to take over him. Aram spiraled down the second road in his mind tht only opened in his sleep. The path of an illusion that seemed so real, yet felt like a day-jah-vu later on. The Dreaming. Later that morning... Light was just beinging to dimmly appear through the window of their room, awaking the light sleeper, Aram. The eyes of the lad were softly opening, like the flapping of the butterfly's wing, revieling a pair of sandy brown eyes. Lifting his head of messy hair, Aram glanced around the room, only able to see the dim outline of objects in the bedroom, the nightstand, the desk, the chair, the sill of the window, and the outline of Phoenix's body and bed. That time already? It's barely even light out, Aram thought, as he expected to see more sun, quickly reminded of the storm... which was still brewing. Arising from his bed, Aram slowly walked, moaning like a zombie as he walked towards his shirt. It's still a little damp, the pirate said to himself as he put it on, giving him chills. Time to get to work, he told himsef as he stared at the night stand for his first task, yet easiest.

Phoenix had fallen asleep at some time that she didn't notice. She shivered in the bed, sicker now than before. A loud crack of thunder shot her up from her unconcious sleep. The captive's face was pale, her hair damp with sweat. She pulled the blanket back around her staring at a mirror across the room.
"I look pathetic," Phoenix spat. And weak. Speaking to no one in particular. The lass put her bare feet on the cold floor, standing on shaky legs. She walked to her reflection, the blanket tightly around her. The sixteen-year-old took one look at herself close up and crumbled to the floor. Phoenix sneezed and shivered more. "I'm going to make some tea." The captive stood walking toward the door, her legs still unstable.

"I'll get it," Aram said, in a not so firm voice. He picked up the night stand and placed it against the wall where it sat when they had arrived, just before looking over at the captive. "..Just stay in bed," he noted, walking past her, out the door. She doesn't sound so good.. hope it's nothing serious, the Pirate prayed for Phoenix's health, even if she was 'justy a captive' of the Black Bolt.
Aram arrived not much later with two cups of tea at the door.. which had closed. His foot gave a small knock against the white wood door. If you want tea, then open the door.. ye better have not climbed out the window.. though I can't really recall your full health condition.
